Yesterday we heard a lecture from Martin Kolek.  He was talking about the refugees. He told us that he worked for the Seewatch.  Everyone working at seewatch volunteers. The seewatch helps refugees who are in great danger in the water. They wanted to start a new life without havoc and with a job. Worldwide, more than 60 million people are fleeing wars, persecution and poverty. Tens of thousands die in the Mediterranean. They did not pick up any refugees, but gave the only life jacket. He showed us videos of the bodies and how he had given lifejackets to the refugees. Since we did not have that much time Martin Kolek could not tell us everything exactly. Who also wanted to help could register yesterday on a piece of paper. The presentation was very good, but it was also a bit brutal.
